How the modules fit together
One login for the whole school day
SchuleVernetzt is not a collection of separate tools but one system with a shared set of data. Classes, staff, pupils and parents are created once, and from then on every module works with the same master data. A teacher signs in once and finds timetable, class register, messages and office hours in one place. Parents receive an invitation link and use the same account for absence reporting, parent letters and appointment booking; anyone who does not want to install an app carries on in the browser. Because every module builds on the same role and permission concept, an authorisation applies the same way everywhere: what a form tutor may see, they see in every module, and what they may not see stays hidden there too.
From sick note to report card
The clearest effect shows in the morning. When parents report their child sick, the absence appears in the digital class register straight away and is already marked as excused; nobody enters it a second time. If someone still calls the school office, the report is recorded there and travels on along the same path. The lesson entries build the absence statistics per pupil and per school year, and if a medical certificate is still missing for a longer absence, the system sends a reminder. The same statistics are ready later for report cards and parent meetings. When a lesson is cancelled, the cover plan links the change to the same class and notifies only those it affects.
One contact base, one privacy framework
Parent communication and appointment planning draw on the same contact base. A parent letter goes to the whole school, to one class or to a single family and comes back with a read receipt and a structured reply. For parent-teacher day, teachers release their time slots, and exactly the same parents book their appointment through a link; once booked, only the teacher and the booking family can see it. Because everything sits in one system, there is also only one privacy framework: hosting in Germany, encrypted storage, role-based access plus a data processing agreement and a data protection pack for the school data protection officer. Retention and deletion follow the footing the school settles on – state law or its own policy – and are set centrally once, not tool by tool.
