Write the post
Write the text, attach a file or picture, set how long it stays valid. A notice can be an announcement of a date, a note about a cancelled bus or an invitation to the school fete.

Choose the audience
You decide who sees the post: the whole school, a year group, one class, the staff or a particular parent group. The roles for this are already set up in the app.

Publish and notify
As soon as you publish, the relevant roles receive a push notification on their phone. Important notices can also be pinned so they stay at the top, while all other posts move down in chronological order.

Show it in the foyer
Any screen with a browser shows the public notices in kiosk mode and cycles through them on its own. Expired posts disappear automatically and move into the searchable archive.

Controlling visibility by role
On a cork board every notice hangs there for everyone – or for nobody, because it is overlooked in the crowd. Digitally that is reversed: every post gets an audience, and the audiences are the ones that already exist at the school. A note on exam preparation reaches only the upper years, a change of date only the class concerned, an internal arrangement only the staff. That is also a data protection question: a notice with names, photos or details about individual children does not belong in an open corridor that every visitor walks through. With role-based publishing, the circle of recipients stays limited and traceable.
A display without new hardware
For the display in the entrance area, any device that can start a browser is enough: an existing screen, an older computer, a television with a browser function. The notice board runs there in kiosk mode, shows only posts released to the public and moves on at a fixed rhythm. No login is required, and personal content does not appear there because it stays tied to roles. Guests, parents at pick-up time and pupils walking past therefore see the same current information as in the app, without anyone swapping paper every morning or maintaining a second pin board.
Staying current, staying archived
The biggest difference from paper is not the look but the handling of time. Every post gets an expiry date and then disappears from the view by itself; nothing is papered over, nothing hangs three months too long. At the same time everything stays searchable in the archive, so it can be traced later when a piece of information was published and which group it went to. That helps with questions from parents and with documentation towards whoever runs your school. How long school announcements should be kept comes from the education law your school sits under; the periods in the archive can be set accordingly.
